Indoor Percussion

The Council Rock South Indoor Percussion team of the marching percussion (also called battery) and front ensemble (also called pit) sections of a marching band or drum corps. Indoor percussion marries elements of music performance, marching, and theater; thus, the activity is often referred to as percussion theater. Council Rock South Indoor Percussion competes in local and regional circuits: The Mid-Atlantic Percussion Society (MAPS) and Tournament Indoor Association (TIA). The season starts with rehearsals in December and Ends with the final competitions in April. Rehearsals are general 2 times per week and either a Saturday Rehearsal or Competition.
